A Smuggler's Tale is the story of one family and their son Robert's exploits as a very prolific and successful smuggler, a classic rags to riches story. You meet Robert as a young boy growing up in the 18th century in a smuggler's family. His father being a smuggler and a good one by all accounts. Much to Robert's mother's disgust, his father begins to teach him the trade and one day Robert's name would become bigger than he could have ever imagined but at what cost! Robert is not without his enemies and one gentleman in particular, the local revenue officer John Baites, is determined to put Robert behind bars. But, an opportunity arises that Robert just can't turn down. If it goes right he could have all he'd ever dreamed of. If it goes wrong, he could lose everything! Which would it be?
