'His "Day In Court"' is an adventure novel written by Charles Egbert Craddock. The story unfolds in a winter evening at a log cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains. The cabin is cluttered and disorganized, with a variety of objects scattered about the room. One of the men in the room, Stephen Quimbey, takes a candle and puts it in the window, but then becomes uncertain of where to put it and throws it to the ground in frustration.
