"Memories of Hawthorne" by Rose Hawthorne Lathrop

Rose Hawthorne Lathrop, also known as Mother Mary Alphonsa, was an American writer and religious leader. She was also the daughter of Nathaniel Hawthorne, who she honors in this book. Memories of her father from her childhood, adulthood, and even earlier are regaled in this book which honors the man who instilled her love of reading, writing, and religion.
