"The Young Emperor, William II of Germany" is a biographical novel on the life of the last Emperor of Germany, Wilhelm II. Starting with a brief history of the Hohenzollerns, the royal house from which he descended, it follows the major events of Wilhelm's life. Being a prince whose grandfather reigned strong on the throne of Germany, and whose father's robust health showed signs of an equally long reign, it was not considered that he would reign any time soon.
